What are Naturopathic Doctors (NDs)?
NDs are highly educated primary care providers who integrate standard medical diagnostics with a broad range of natural therapies. Primary care means health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. Currently in Ontario, NDs are government regulated under the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).
NDs work in partnership with other regulated health care providers to ensure that patients receive the most comprehensive and effective care possible.
